Dorset is a county in England, situated in the south-west on the English Channel coast. It borders Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire. Dorset has a variety of landscapes in its territory: plains, ridges and valleys, among others. Much of the land, more than half, is within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Almost all of its coastline has been named a World Heritage Site because it belongs to the Jurassic Coast. Some of the geographical points of interest are the Isle of Portland, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, and Chesil Beach. Dorset is the third most southerly county in the UK. This means that it has a climate typical of the area, being one of the hottest places in the UK in summer.  It tends to have warm summers and mild winters, perfect for those seeking warmth at this time of year.
