Cumbria is a non-metropolitan county in the North West of England. Its capital is Carlisle. It is the third largest county in England in terms of geographical area. It is made up of six districts: Allerdale , Barrow-in-Furness, Carlisle, Copeland, Eden, and South Lakeland. Cumbria is largely rural and has World Heritage Sites and some of England’s finest areas of natural beauty, such as the Lake District National Park. It also has places of great historical importance worth visiting, such as Furness Abbey, Carlisle Castle, Brough Castle, Hardknott’s Roman Fort, and Hadrian’s Wall.
